A Muslim sheikh has asked a Kenyan court not to release him, after it acquitted him of terrorism-related charges. Gayo Gorsa Boro said he feared being kidnapped and killed by government agents once he was released, as it allegedly happened, along with a number of people accused of the same crimes previously who were acquitted by the court. Kenyan authorities arrested Boro in 2018 and charged him Possessing material promoting a terrorist group, and conspiring with the Somali dissident group Al-Shabaab. The court in the capital, Nairobi, allowed Boro to remain in prison for 30 days. A senior judge at Milimani Court, in Nairobi, said the court had not succeeded in proving any accusation against Sheikh. Boro.
